Kids ... imagine an encounter with one of the most poisonous snakes in the world or wading through a murky river inhabited by crocs looking for their next meal. Fancy a ‘virtual’ Outback adventure, complete with exotic animals, ancient landforms, and uncanny means of travel? Join our expedition and enjoy the ultimate adventure!
Teachers: are you tired of textbooks that are out of date before they hit the shelves or ‘educational’ internet sites that claim to be student-friendly but aren’t? Our expedition offers an interactive experience that features exciting content and activities, taking students and teachers on the adventure of a lifetime – virtual travel with the first human powered circumnavigation of the world!

To assist teachers, we have included a range of lesson plans and activities that can be used at intermediate grade levels. These standards based activities cover a variety of disciplines and are designed for use with our Internet educational content found on our expedition web site.

The design of our cross-curriculum platform allows teachers to integrate grade level subject areas, while promoting the use of practical application as students develop problem solving skills. Within each lesson, students are encouraged to create projects that promote higher level thinking, which enhances performance-based assessments.
Let’s Explore … Australia! enhances the use of technology in the classroom by providing online lessons and activities that are easily integrated into existing curriculum. In addition, a ‘team’ of experts stands by to provide answers to your questions posted to a Web Board. The link Ask the Expert allows for student/teacher content related questions. This Web Board feature encourages the sharing of ideas and information, creative group projects ideas and relevant announcements pertaining to this event.

Keep students absorbed in the learning experience! And, become as comfortable with using the Internet as you are with using a textbook or a chalkboard!
