Lightening the Load

Getting up these mountains in Northern Laos have reduced us to half emptying shampoo bottles and cutting our toothbrushes in half. Well, not quite that bad yet, but not far off.

All that stands between Melissa and summiting these peaks is ditching her ridiculous high tech pair of mosquito coil holders (which she refuses to). Such a fine line between success and failure Melissa ;-)

Just 100 miles now from crossing over the border into China.

i started ripping pages off my book as well just to lighten up. hahahaha... must say that its been quite hair-raising losing all that amounts of crap. haha.

ps. come on Mellisa,,,you really have to get rid of stuff....but then i am not very good at it myself. On my first trip to Europe, i carefully pared exerything down to the absolute minimun,,,just like you,,,,and my pack weighted 100 lbs.,,,well,,,with the two other bags. ended up leaving almost all of it at my sisters house in france while i traveled.
