The
rich diversity of the Australian outback offered Jason the opportunity
of creating an online educational program to share with schoolchildren
worldwide. After several months fundraising in a shopping mall in
Cairns, he set off from the mouth of the Starcke River, just north
of Cooktown, bound for Darwin via Alice Springs. The mode of transport
was to be mountain bikes, and a team of teens, professional educators
and like-spirited adventure seekers joined him for what turned out
to be a 3.500-mile, 88-day off-road odyssey.
