The section from Singapore to Mumbai involved mountain biking over 10,000 kilometres through Malaysia, Thailand, Laos, China, Tibet, Nepal to India. This ‘long way around’ was only way to get around Myanmar (Burma) which at the time of writing doesn’t issue visas to individual travelers. Timeframe: June 6th to November 17th 2006.
